The Janitzio storefront in Caldwell, open since 2006
Janitzio Restaurant, traditional Michoacan cuisine
Our story

One family, one kitchen, since 2006.

Janitzio takes its name from a little island in Michoacan, and that is the cooking you will find here. For more than twenty years the same family has run this corner of Caldwell, serving the tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, pozole and seafood they grew up on.

Regulars will tell you not to judge the place by the outside. Step in and it is warm, clean and full of color, with murals on the walls and a salsa people swear is the best in the valley. The welcome is as genuine as the food.
